Covid cases in Muir of Ord are rising at present and we know a lot of people would not be able to come along and join in. We want all our events and activities to be run as safely as possible to give the community confidence to come back out to events so we feel it is better to give things a little time and reschedule for next month and hope you will be able to join us then for an awesome day of outside fun.
This is the last of a number of events in Muir of Ord funded by the Think Health, Think Nature initiative. It is now expected to take place on Saturday 2 October, so the date on the poster below is wrong, but the rest of the information is likely to remain correct.

We're participating in the Scotland's Gardens Scheme which is opening beautiful private gardens in Scotland to raise money for charity through admissions, teas and plant sales.
You can visit our garden at Old Allangrange on September 4th from 2-5pm. Adult admission is £6.50 (children are free) and will help us raise money for Black Isle Bee Gardens, our own charitable society which creates gardens to benefit people and bees. This includes admission to our market garden which we have been transforming over to a more sustainable and regenerative model by redesigning the main garden using agroecological design and growing principles.

Brewery Head Gardener Alex Davies writes about the market garden
We grow our organic vegetables and fruit using agroecological, no-dig and permaculture methods to increase biodiversity and support local flora and fauna. A good example of this is how we use the spent grain from the brewery – as well as feeding it to our Hebridean sheep, we combine it with green waste from the garden and wood chippings from local tree surgeons to produce the compost in which we grow all our veg - this ‘closed loop’ system acts in a regenerative way, allowing us to give back more than we take from the land.
